A Homecoming for a Book Rooted in Southeast Asia
Culturally Intelligent Storytelling for Southeast Asian Creators explores how culture shapes the stories we create, the ways audiences interpret them, and the choices storytellers make when their work travels across borders.
The Philippine launch brings the book home to a community of storytellers, educators, cultural practitioners, and creative leaders. It is presented with the Rizal Library of Ateneo de Manila University, one of the Philippines’ leading universities, at Areté, Ateneo’s creative and innovation hub.
More than a book launch, the gathering is a conversation about how stories can remain rooted in culture while building understanding across audiences and borders.
Where the Journey Began
First Launched Globally in Santa Monica
Culturally Intelligent Storytelling for Southeast Asian Creators was first launched globally in Santa Monica, California, on November 4, 2025, during the Cultural Intelligence Fellows Retreat.
The Philippine launch at Ateneo de Manila University continues that journey by bringing the book home to the cultural and creative community where many of its ideas took root.
