A courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco opened a conversation about how culturally intelligent storytelling could move beyond the book and into talks, workshops, education, and future institutional partnerships.
On December 12, 2025, the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco published a press release about my courtesy call three days earlier. I visited the Consulate on December 9 as part of a wider U.S. tour that included conferences, talks, and book-related engagements.
I was accompanied by Elisa Cabahug, Managing Director of ABS-CBN Foundation International — the nonprofit arm of the Philippines’ largest broadcast network — together with Filipino American community members Eric Pugeda and Conrado Cruz.
