Ned Legaspi presented “Culturally Intelligent Storytelling: A Southeast Asian Lens on Narrative, Identity, and Engagement” at the 15th Biennial Conference of the Asian Consumer and Family Economics Association in Hanoi, Vietnam, on July 9, 2025. Accepted into the official program following blind review, the paper brought a Southeast Asian perspective on narrative, identity, and engagement into an international interdisciplinary conference.

Ned Legaspi presented “Translating Culture Across Screens: Culturally Intelligent Storytelling as Narrative Infrastructure in Southeast Asia” at the 53rd Annual MARAAS Conference at the University of Pittsburgh on November 15, 2025. The paper placed Southeast Asian storytelling within a wider scholarly conversation on transnational movement, translation, technology, and cultural meaning.

Ned Legaspi presented “Patok Kanino? Reframing Popularity, Resonance, and Cultural Translation in Philippine Media” at Patok na Patok!, Ateneo de Manila University’s conference on popular culture and media studies, on April 29, 2026. He joined Panel 1B at Escaler Hall, examining how popularity and resonance shift across audiences and cultures.
