While in London, an unexpected bridge opened to the Netherlands. I was invited by The Filipino Correspondents Network (TFCN) to speak at their Journalism Summit in The Hague. Though virtual, the energy in the room was undeniable.
I shared insights on how cultural intelligence can help frame news in ways that do not just inform, but also connect across perspectives. For journalists and media professionals, this means telling stories that resonate beyond borders while staying true to the communities they represent.
It was a reminder that cultural intelligence is not only about entertainment or creative industries—it is also about journalism, truth-telling, and building understanding in times when narratives are contested.
To the incredible team at TFCN: thank you for the honor of being part of this important conversation. The work you do strengthens our communities abroad and ensures our voices remain visible, accurate, and powerful.
